Intermediate Color - 2Day Weekend IC1-25

Service Description

Students will refine their technique & learn some new skills. The three main topics covered will be: -Using glass color in bar form -Making simple cane and picking it up using optic molds -Balancing heat when using both "hot" & "cold" colors There is a $30 fee for bar color included in this class. It will be a fairly standard palette of colors. If you wish to provide your own color, email burnt@outlook.com for info on quantities required, & this fee will be deducted when the balance of the class is paid. This class is open to students who have previously taken a beginners class at Burnt Glassworks, or another equivalent class elsewhere that covered basic skills including: gathering from a furnace, marvering, thumbing a bubble, forming a jack line, forming a punty, and opening a vessel on a punty. A second beginners (level 2 or 3) class is highly encouraged, or 6 or more hours of additional studio time, before enrolling in an intermediate class. Ages 16+. This class includes two 5 hour studio sessions - $390 (including $30 for bar color, see note above) March 29th & 30th, from 10 am to 3 pm A deposit of $75 is required in order to register. The balance of $315 + taxes is due at the first class. The deposit is refundable until 10 days before class starts. In the event that you cannot attend one of the class dates due to unforeseen circumstances, a 60 min private make-up class can be scheduled for another date. In the event that the class is canceled for any reason, the deposit will be refunded in it’s entirety.
